Considering the current situation of
COVID-19 in the state, the matter of online registration for planned marriages was under consideration of the state government.
At the end of the adult consideration, keeping in view the current status of
Covid-19, it has been decided by the state government to conduct online registration for upcoming weddings in the state. In this regard, a software of Online Registration for Organizing Marriage Function has been prepared by National Informatics Center. Which is working on Digital Gujarat Portal (www.digitalgujarat.gov.in).
Under this, the applicant has to apply online on the said portal regarding the wedding ceremony scheme. After applying, the applicant can take a print of the Registration Slip / save the PDF. If any Police Officer or Local Administration Officer / Employee requests Registration Slip from the applicant, it will have to be submitted by the applicant.
Earlier, the Gujarat government had ratified the presence of a maximum of 200 persons at wedding ceremonies. But after Diwali, as the transition to Koro increased, the limit was reduced to 50 per cent of the capacity of the wedding venue and a maximum of 100 persons, while the limit was fixed at 50 persons for funerals and other ceremonies.
Now this year’s wedding season is almost over in Gujarat. Kamurata sits from the 15th and will last till the 15th of January next year i.e. for about a month. Therefore, this registration will be applicable to those who are currently married in Kamurata. Corona infection is expected to be under control after January 15, and it is hoped that the corona vaccine will be available by then. Therefore, in such improved circumstances, those who have to plan a wedding will have to do this registration for the presence of guests.
