Assembly elections in four states and one union territory are over. While assembly elections took place in single phases in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry in April, Assam voted in three phases and West Bengal in eight phases.
The Assembly elections are over in all four states and a Union Territory that are electing new assemblies and governments. All eyes arenow on counting day. The states that went to the polls are Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The Union Territory of Puducherry votes to elect its own assembly and government.
Here’s how to check election results on ECI website:
- Visit ECI’s official website https://results.eci.gov.in/.
- Click on the link that reads ‘General assembly elections 2021’ result.
- A new window will appear.
- Results of Assembly Elections 2021 for preferred state and Union Territory will be displayed on your screen.
Note: Alternatively, the interested users can also check the results on their smartphones using the ‘ECI’s Voter Helpline’ application.
Here’s how to check West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry Election Results on Election Commission App:
Step 2. After being opened, it will ask you to login using your mobile number.
Step 3. There are 6 options: Forms, Complaint, EVM, Elections, Results and Candidates.
Step 4. When you click on Results, it will open a webpage ‘Election Results May 2021’.
Step 5. Click on ‘General Assembly Elections’ option to check the result of the desired state.
You can check the results party-wise or constituency-wise. You can also see the constituency-wise trends.
The Election Commission will startreleasing result trends from 8 am onwards on its website and app. Those who are keenly interested in checking the progress on the go may track it easily using the ECIsite & app.
